JENNIFER ASHFORD
LEGAL ASSISTANT | URBANA OFFICE
Jen is the engine that runs TDH Law’s Urbana office. Jen has been a legal assistant and office manager of the Urbana location since 2018. Most of her work focuses on civil and construction litigation, estate planning, evictions, business formations, contract and real estate disputes and criminal matters. Jen supports clients every step of the way, from the initial intake call, throughout the client’s entire representation until the matter is resolved. During a client’s time with TDH Law, Jen maintains constant communication with the client by providing them with legal documentation, information and status updates and often is the direct line of communication between the client and attorney. Her passion for helping others and her love of the law makes her the perfect match for TDH Law.
Prior to joining TDH Law, Jen obtained her associate’s degree from Clark State Community College in applied business of graphic design technology.
In her spare time, Jen enjoys playing cards with her family and friends, cheering on the Blue Jackets with her hockey obsessed husband and kids and traveling as much as possible with her family.
BRAD BROWN

Brad joined Scout Title in 2025 with 20 years of title industry experience. Brad’s scope of work ranges from a simple refinance to the most complex commercial deals. Notable projects he has worked on are the Indianapolis International Airport, multiple Simon mall sites, limestone quarry in southern Indiana, Pepsi Co plant and numerous Indianapolis downtown properties. Brad desires to give the best quality service possible to all clients.
Brad and his family have lived in Bellefontaine since moving to Ohio in 2015. Outside of the office you can find Brad spending time with his family, serving at his church, on the golf course, or supporting his children and the other Chieftains in their academic and athletic events.
NIKKI COMER
LEGAL ASSISTANT | BELLEFONTAINE MAIN OFFICE
Nikki is a valuable member of our TDH team. She is proficient in various areas of law that TDH offers, from domestic relations to litigation. While her skilled area is legal assistant, she is versatile within the office, assisting our Account Manager as well. When Nikki is not in the office you can find her spending time with her husband, Rob, enjoying their beautiful family and the outdoors.
ALEXIS CONNOLLY
LEGAL ASSISTANT | BELLEFONTAINE MAIN OFFICE
Lexi is a dynamic member of the team, eager and capable of solving just about any problem thrown her way. Prior to joining TDH Law, Lexi explored different career paths, mainly in the medical field but recently discovered her passion for legal work. A 2011 graduate of Kenton High School, Lexi is a lifelong resident of Hardin County. Lexi will be a staple in our soon to be opening office location in downtown Kenton, Ohio – right across of the historic and beautiful courthouse. Lexi is happily engaged and the proud mother of a 13-year old son. While away from the office, Lexi enjoys supporting her son and watching his baseball and basketball games.
JAUNETH DAY
OFFICE MANAGER & LEGAL ASSISTANT | WEST LIBERTY OFFICE
Jauneth came to TDH Law after working for AcuSport Corporation in Bellefontaine as the Director of Information Technology for 25 years. She is a Wright State University alumnus with a B.S. in Marketing and began working at the TDH Law, West Liberty location in 2020. Her focus is supporting the business in all aspects of our core practice areas, while managing all office administration. Her responsibilities include preparing estate planning documents and coordinating the execution with the attorney and the client. In addition, Jauneth supports real estate transactions by preparing title certificates, deeds, conveyance forms, obtains map room preapprovals and facilitates the execution of purchase agreements and deeds.
Another core focus for the West Liberty location is handling probate estates. At one point, during the peak of the pandemic, Jauneth managed upwards of 40 probate estates at one time, facilitating estate activities, such as gathering required information from fiduciaries, preparing mandated court documents and finalizing documents for review, signing and filing.
Outside of work, Jauneth likes spending time with her husband, Steve and keeping up with and travelling to visit her girls who both live out of state.
DORIS HEMINGER
LEGAL ASSISTANT | BELLEFONTAINE MAIN OFFICE
Doris has been with TDH Law since 1996 and has been Howard Traul’s legal assistant since 1979. Everyone knows if you need something, call Doris! Doris specializes in all aspects of probate estates, guardianships, and estate planning, but has knowledge on almost any subject matter that enters the firm. Doris lost her beloved husband, Larry, in 2022 and has two children, Michele and Jake, four grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Tanner and Nina, and three great grandchildren, Cooper, Oakley and Kinsley.
CRYSTAL HORNBLOWER
LEGAL ASSISTANT | INDIAN LAKE OFFICE
Crystal has been with TDH Law since 2020. After 20 plus years in warehouse management, Crystal stepped up to the challenge of switching her career path to become a legal assistant. Working out of the Indian Lake office, Crystal assists the attorneys in handling probate, real estate, estate planning and estates. Always greeting customers with a smile, Crystal truly embodies the one constant that TDH Law is known for: providing outstanding service to its clients. A longtime resident of Logan County, Crystal enjoys gardening, reading, her pets, and spending time with her family.
BRITNEY HOUCHIN
LEGAL ASSISTANT | BELLEFONTAINE MAIN OFFICE
Britney joined the legal field in 2020 and finds the work very interesting and rewarding. In addition to being a skilled legal assistant, Britney is surgical technologist and LPN. Britney can handle all types of legal matters, but her medical background gives her great insight on personal injury and wrongful death matters. Britney is a lifelong resident of Logan County, having grown up in Bellefontaine, Ohio where she currently resides with her two boys. Her sons keep Britney busy with their various sports activities throughout the year, but Britney somehow makes time to coach middle school cheerleading.
JESS JENKINS

Jess joined our Scout Title team in 2021 and has focused her time on building partnerships with local attorneys, lenders, realtors, businesses, and individuals in real estate transactions. Jess prepares the real estate attorneys’ title opinions, title commitments, and closing documents for commercial and residential closings. From the first point of contact to the signing of closing documents, she provides detailed communication, with a focus on meeting deadlines and all required funding and closing conditions.
Jess resides in Bellefontaine, along with her family. Outside of the Scout Title office, you will likely find her spending time with her family and volunteering with our local youth sports organizations.
COURTNEY LONES

Courtney has been a Real Estate Paralegal with TDH Law since 1992. She handles anything and everything that has to do with the real estate closing process. She graduated from Indian Lake High School and obtained her Associate’s Degree in Legal Assisting from Lima Technical College. She resides in Bellefontaine with her husband, Todd, and son, Gavin, who attends Wittenberg University and is on the baseball team. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, snowmobiling in the UP of Michigan and attending Gavin’s baseball games.
KENDAL MILLER

Kendal is our front desk receptionist. She is vital to our day-to-day operations and is able to handle multiple tasks for TDH Law. Kendal is a graduate of Indian Lake High School. When not in the office, Kendal enjoys spending her time with her family and friends.

While providing support to multiple legal areas within TDH Law, Sara’s core dedication since 2018 has been working directly with the Partner leading TDH Law’s Domestic Relations Practice. Sara is an integral part of running TDH Law’s “Downtown” location and Domestic Relations Practice group. “She has extensive experience and expertise in working with courts, attorneys, and other legal professionals to support TDH Law’s clients in all domestic relations matters” said Zeb Wagner, Partner leading TDH Law’s Domestic Relations Practice.

Emily S. joined TDH Law at the beginning of 2024. Emily is a valued member of the TDH Downtown Bellefontaine office where she is the first point of contact for clientele, whether working with our domestic relations attorneys or assisting with the firm’s collections practice. When not working, Emily can be found spending her time with her husband, son, and 3 dogs.
APRIL STANLEY

April joined TDH Law in 2024. You might recognize April as the always smiling and helpful person you hoped to get when you visited the Logan County BMV. April has always had an interest in law and has taken the opportunity to learn. She is immersing herself in every aspect of legal work and enjoying all that she is currently learning.
April was born and raised in the Indian Lake area. She currently lives in Bellefontaine with her husband and son. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She and her husband could always be found cheering on their son, while watching him play during a soccer match. This has kept them quite busy in recent years.
DESTINY STEVENS

Destiny always comes in clutch for Team TDH and our clients. Destiny is quickly establishing herself as a probate and litigation go to team member who is never afraid to jump into a matter for the good of the group. Destiny is a 2014 Bellefontaine High School graduate and was born and raised in Logan County. When not working, Destiny loves to spend time with her husband and two children. You’ll typically see Destiny reading or outside enjoying nature.
ELLISE ST. CLAIR
FILING CLERK | BELLEFONTAINE MAIN OFFICE
Ellise joined our TDH Law team in 2025 and has been a vital addition alongside our crew ever since. Whether it be filing cases for multiple attorneys, making surprise trips to different courthouses across the State of Ohio or drafting legal documents, Ellise always makes sure to get her tasks done, and to do them efficiently. You may recognize her as “The Runner” for our main office, but Ellise has recently gone into training to become a legal assistant. She has always been interested in law and everything that comes with it, and she is beyond excited about taking the next steps necessary to dive deeper into the multitude of aspects that surround law.
Ellise was raised in Bellefontaine, alongside her constantly growing family. She is a 2022 graduate of Bellefontaine High School, and many recognize her as being a past competitive cheerleader, or on football and basketball sidelines. Outside of the TDH Law office, you will likely find her cheering on her brothers playing football, as they are both quarterbacks, or spending time with family and friends.

Emily T. joined TDH Law in 2024 and is the firm’s Account Manager, handling all accounts payable/ receivable and financial reporting. Emily works with all attorneys and team members to ensure billing runs smoothly and efficiently. Emily currently resides in Indian Lake with her husband and 2 kids. When not in the office, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

HR MANAGER & CHIEF LEGAL ASSISTANT | BELLEFONTAINE MAIN OFFICE
Paige has been a constant presence at TDH Law since 2016. Paige has dedicated her time to assisting attorneys in several areas including estate planning, real estate, probate, collections and evictions but her main focus has always been working with the Managing Partner in civil litigation. “Paige, an invaluable resource to our team, has more trial experience than many junior attorneys” said Terry Stolly, Managing Partner at TDH Law. In 2024, Paige was promoted to HR Manager having spent a number of years in charge of hiring and training staff as well as handling various miscellaneous office administrative responsibilities. Paige obtained her Management Certificate from Clark State Community College. She resides in Logan County along with her family. Outside of work, you’ll most often find Paige with her nose in a book or cheering her kids on at their games.
DAVID WESTGERDES
LEGAL ASSISTANT | MARYSVILLE OFFICE
David joined our team in 2025 with an extensive administrative background in the medical and military fields. He has smoothly integrated into the legal assistant role here at TDH Law. David prepares the litigation attorneys’ pleadings and documents, gathers and organizes discovery, and is always willing to jump in where help is needed. He also acts as office manager keeping our Marysville location supplied and running smoothly.
David resides in Marysville (Allen Township), along with his husband. Outside of the TDH Law office, you will likely find him spending time with his animals on his property, enjoying concerts with friends, or out enjoying nature in his camper at State and National Parks.
